The POP Studio was engaged to work with Splendid leadership to reimagine their go-forward branding and art direction in early 2010. Through the initial creation of a Splendid brand book, we reimagined the companies branding, packaging, visual voice and website. Working hand in hand with brand leaders, we coined phrases like “Welcome to Everyday” and “Happiness is Contagious” to be used within the marketing and brand collateral within their online, retail and wholesale media channels. These “Splendidisms” obviously meant to evoke the yummy softness and pure joy that wearing Splendid brings to the Splendid consumer of all ages. Further, we extracting the already existing Splendid star from their original logo to become the brand’s icon moving forward. We were also given the task of rebranding their men’s Splendid Mills collection resulting in a new brand identity package as well as penning their new men’s tag-line, “easy, classic, everyday (and a little rough around the edges)”. Ultimately, the biggest reward has been watching all of this creativity go live through their wildly successful retail rollout and website relaunch.
