Project:
The POP Studio was brought into the Quiksilver family in January 2010 to conceptualize, design, source, develop and launch the girls’ category for the Quiksilver global brand. It’s always an honor to be the initial creative spark in a project of this magnitude, and Quiksilver has made us feel part of the family since day one. And maybe it’s because we grew up on the beach, but this project has brought the very best out of the POP studio’s “Brand Engineering” platform; injecting a breathe of fresh air into the surf market with our signature “Modern Coastal Classic” design aesthetic. Adding to the Quiksilver responsibilities, the Studio was given the creative helm of the QSW (Quiksilver Women’s) brand in July of 2010. Reimagining the elevated vision for QSW and injecting an authentic Quiksilver narrative into every garment were the first priorities for our inaugural collection, which hits the market for Autumn 2011. With Quiksilver, It’s four decades of amazing surf heritage that keeps the inspiration fresh every season. A bottomless well of Stoke!
