Project:
Mountain Khakis® Hires Brand Engineer Firm, The Pencil on Paper (POP) Studio to fine-tune their vision. In the seven years since the company’s inception, Mountain Khakis®, a leading outdoor apparel brand, have focused on a ‘hips-down’ product assortment. With the launch of their new Tops Collection, MK has engaged POP Studio’s expertise to assess everything from product development strategies to hangtag design and merchandising. “Our focus on pants has served us well through our company’s early-stage growth,” said Noah Robertson, MK Co-Founder & Director of Product Development. “As we expand into Tops, we have been committed to our core philosophies, and carefully focused on a targeted product launch. POP’s energy and pulse on the global apparel market have brought insight and a fresh perspective to our company’s vision and growth strategies. One of the first projects to result in the companies’ collaboration is the MK Brand Book. A true coffee table book, it is an oversized collection of lifestyle imagery, brand language, character, culture, timelines, and illustrations of collections to come. Look for POP Studio’s influence on MK Styles starting with their Fall/Winter 2011 Tops Collection.
