Project:
The POP Studio opened up it’s doors in August of 2008, and their first client was Liz Claiborne, Inc. Bill McComb, CEO called and said “We want to buy up all your time.” Being new to the agency model, (just four of us at the time), we did not know this would mean about 30 round-trips to Amsterdam from Los Angeles for a select group of studio staff over a 12 month period (Kateigh even moved to Amsterdam for three months). The POP Studio was hired to direct all creative for product, retail-environments and marketing. Ultimately, we are very thankful for this European retail experience and all the amazing people it brought together (Chris, Nick and Tom). This inaugural project was the cornerstone of our growing business and we will forever be thankful to Bill McComb for the incredible education. Through the process we collaborated with many great talents including Commune Design and had the pleasure of getting to know the amazing people, food and fashion icons (Viktor & Rolf) of Amsterdam. And a special shout-out to the Dylan Hotel!

Testimonial:
"John Moore came in as interim creative director at Mexx and quickly charted the course for the brand's direction (leveraging strong equities from the brand's heritage), and affecting a dramatically improved product design aesthetic. The quality of the product under John's leadership and direction was far more appealing and more commercially viable/differentiated in the marketplace. John also played a huge role in upgrading all of our visual merchandising and marketing efforts. Finally, John's leadership style was able to create tremendous "followership" in the Mexx organization (across Europe) for the new direction and the faith that the brand had the potential to turnaround. In short, the turnaround at Mexx would not have been as robust, had it not been for John's talent and leadership." -Tom Fitzgerald, Interim CEO
