Every Tuesday morning around 9:30 we all get together at the POP studio for a little show 'n tell. The basic premise is that each of us brings in something to inspire the group. There are no rules to what we bring in, but generally you find that the items inspiring us at the moment are also inspiring our projects. We created this POP picture blog to bring you along for the weekly meetings and hope that you find them inspiring too...

Check out our view today! Snowy mountain tops and palm trees…winter is here in LA!

about: Yoshiharu Tsuge was born on the isle of Oshima and raised by his mother. He made his comic debut in 1953 with various creations, like ‘Fukuwajutsushi’ (the story of a ventriloquist) and ‘Nezumi’. His short story ‘Numa’ surprised his public and was praised with enthusiasm by intellectuals. In his pages, he used a sophisticated and personal type of storytelling that intermingled dream with reality. His style influenced a lot of artists, which can be clearly seen in the magazine Garo.
